The Process: Theatre Evolve's Twelfth Night


Starting in December, 2017, Trainman Photography was granted access to photograph behind the scene of Theatre Evolve's inaugural production: William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. Over the four month rehearsal process the actors, designers, and director collaborated to create a production that was uniquely their own, while still holding true to the story that the playwright provided. From the first read through - when many of the artists met for the first time - to the final rehearsal, Trainman Photography had the privilege of capturing everything from the joy and laughter to the frustration and tears.

Thank you to everyone involved for welcoming me and my camera into this process. It takes incredible bravery to let your yourself be vulnerable in the work when a camera is present in the room and I am honored that you let me capture those moments.
