We get it—you’re busy performing, connecting, and conjuring up your next big moment. Here’s everything you need to know to make your portrait session at the Chicago Magic Lounge as seamless and spellbinding as possible.
Q: How do I book a session?
A: You can reserve your portrait session online through our booking page. Spaces are limited and expected to disappear faster than a signed card—so book early to claim your ideal time!
Q: Can I walk in and book a session the day of?
A: Walk-ins will not be available, but online booking will remain open until the day of the photoshoots or until all slots are filled. We recommend booking early to secure your preferred time.
Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
A: You can cancel for a full refund or reschedule (subject to availability) up to 72 hours in advance. After that point, your session is non-refundable—but you’re welcome to transfer it to another performer if you can no longer attend.
Q: Where will the sessions take place?
A: All portraits will be taken on site at the Chicago Magic Lounge, using its iconic architecture and atmosphere as a stunning backdrop. Room details will be confirmed via email before your session.
Q: When should I arrive?
A: Please check in 15 minutes before your scheduled session. This gives us time to get settled, prep your look, and ensure the magic flows smoothly.
Q: What styles of portraits can I choose from?
A: Whether you’re looking for a classic headshot, a dramatic theatrical vibe, or something bold and stylized, each session is customized to reflect your unique magical persona.
Q: Can I bring props?
A: Absolutely! Cards, coins, cups, canes—anything iconic to your act is welcome. Props help make your portrait uniquely you.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Dress in a way that showcases your stage persona. Avoid overly busy patterns, but do bring layers, textures, or accessories that reflect your magical brand. Longer sessions allow time for a quick outfit change.
Q: How do I choose my final images?
A: You’ll receive a private proof gallery after your session. From there, simply select your favorites for retouching.
Q: When will I get my final photos?
A: Retouched images are delivered digitally within two weeks of your selection. Just enough time to get excited and then—voilà!
Q: How can I use my photos?
A: Your session includes a non-commercial print release, perfect for websites, press kits, posters, social media, and promotional use.
Q: Can I purchase extra images?
A: Yes! Additional retouched images are $45 each, and you can order as many as you like once your proof gallery is delivered.
